Had a splendid evening at the Mayorās Awards - a hearty congratulations to all the nominees! Deciding on a winner from the plethora of outstanding businesses in Kingās Lynn was no easy feat, especially considering we had to narrow it down from 20 applicants.

Quirky and fun restaurant & cocktail bar in the heart of Kingās Lynn in West Norfolk. They do food, afternoon teas and even have a full on speakeasy style party bar upstairs.
They have a superb drinks menu - teas included. Food was great too with a wide variety of options. Itās a great place for light bites during the day and letting your hair down in the evening.

This historic market town is drenched with history. From the 12th century Bishop of Norwich, whom the city was originally named after. Bishopās Lynn. To Henry VIII, the man whom it is now named after. Kings Lynn, post that lil dissolution of the monasteries incident back in the 16th century.

š· Kings Lynn Minster, St Margaretās Church. 12th - 18th century Church with a beautiful yard that will be in bloom on your visit!
š· Shakespeareās Barn, Guildhall. The oldest working theatre in the UK and the only theatre that can claim to have hosted William Shakespeare.
š· Walk around the town and check out the stunning architecture all around you.
š· Castle Rising, Castle. 12th century Norman castle just a stone throw away from the bus stop youāll most likely get off at if you follow my route by public transport.

tipsyteapotbar was absolutely amazing ā¦ from the food, to the service, to the ambience! tropicbysuzifish you would love the Tropic-themed upholstery on the chairs! I had a delicious vegan afternoon tea (a rare find) and was so full by the end, I didnāt need to eat anything for the rest of the day! If I didnāt need to lose a few pounds in weight before, I might do now š

Iāll definitely be heading back to KL and the tea rooms with niamh.se when sheās back from her travels. Iām also looking forward to seeing more of the old medieval town that we managed to miss on our first jaunt last November.
I also found a lovely smart summer jacket in the AHAVA charity shop just up the road, whose mission is to end homelessness and addiction. The majority of the clothes I buy nowadays are pre-loved - all part of my commitment to live more sustainably. āØļø Finally, I honestly can`t stand being cold! I absolutely loved the hot summer we had so I`m so sad it`s inevitably going to get colder as we head further into autumn! Suppose there`s more of an excuse to warm up with a coffee though! š¤£
